Record of Jews from Pennsylvania, particularly Philadelphia, who served in the U.S. armed services from pre-revolutionary times to 1894. In the introduction, Morais refers to the "forthcoming work" of Simon Wolf, "The American Jew as a soldier and patriot." The actual work by Wolf, published in 1895, is entitled "The American Jew as soldier and patriot." This manuscript was published as part of Morais' book "The Jews of Philadelphia" (1894). Also includes minutes of the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Joint Distribution Committee, Sep. 15, 1919 (7 p.).
